Human Resources Director (hybrid)

The incumbent will ensure that human resources management directions, decisions, and work organization comply with best practices while addressing the organization's daily needs.

As Human Resources Director, you will become the main point of contact for the management team and employees. The incumbent will report to the President and will actively participate in the implementation, deployment and communication of new human resources programs and processes, as well as the standardization of HR practices and processes. The candidate will directly supervise the HR Coordinator, and together you will support the organization in its growth strategy.

ROLE

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources strategies, including human resources policies, programs, and procedures
  • Inform managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources, compensation, and benefit plan policies
  • Advise and support managers in the application and monitoring of administrative and disciplinary measures (file notes, drafting written disciplinary notices, applying escalation of sanctions, meeting with employees)
  • Implement performance indicators (retention rates, OSHA rates, absenteeism) and provide daily reports
  • Maintain employee files. employees
  • Develop and maintain, in collaboration with the vice-presidents, job classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales, as well as skills assessment measures and systems
  • Ensure pay equity is maintained
  • In partnership with managers, assess training needs, conduct the necessary research on available training, plan and manage logistics, and compile information for Bill 90
  • Advise managers and share expertise in human resources management (mobilization, training and skills development, performance management, recruitment and onboarding, organizational development, etc.)
  • When hiring a new employee, manage the onboarding and integration processes with the HR Coordinator. Complete hiring documents (group insurance, pension plan, etc.), provide explanations regarding hiring conditions, policies, and regulations, and monitor periods of probation
  • Implement and maintain a workforce planning process in collaboration with managers
  • Monitor disabilities covered by employment insurance and salary insurance
  • Work in collaboration with the Production and OHS Manager, participate in OHS committee meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • DEC or BACC in HR Management or Administration
  • 10 years of relevant experience in human resources management
  • Good knowledge of labor standards
  • Good knowledge of Office Suite software (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Dynamic, motivating, autonomous and good at working in a team
  • Proactive, resourceful and versatile, participatory leadership
  • Member of the Ordre des CRHA Québec (an asset)
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in French; functional English
  • Respect for confidentiality
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Attention to detail and rigor
