Job Description

Your Role Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of HR activities at our plant. You will be responsible for a full range of functions: recruitment, payroll, training, health and safety, employee engagement, legal compliance, and more. You will actively contribute to providing a healthy, motivating, and high-performing work environment.

Your main responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the Health and Safety Committee and support a strong health and safety culture by contributing to the development and implementation of policies and action plans.

  • Ensure payroll processing and time tracking in collaboration with managers; Maintain up-to-date employee files and ensure their confidentiality.

  • Collaborate in the management of disciplinary files, complaints, and disputes by preparing the required administrative documentation.

  • Manage the complete recruitment cycle: posting, pre-screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding of new employees.

  • Write and distribute internal and external HR communications (memos, announcements, newsletters, etc.).

  • Maintain internal policies and support HR management in their continuous improvement.

  • Participate in the organization of recognition and engagement activities. Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.

  • Provide high-quality support to employees, managers, candidates, and external partners.

  • Manage work permit applications for foreign workers.

  • Support training and skills development management.

  • Perform any other related human resources tasks.

Required Profile

  • University degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a related field.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar position.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and discretion.

  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • In-depth knowledge of Quebec labor laws and standards.

  • Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset.
