Recrutement PS is currently holding interviews for a talented Human Resources Manager for one of our Montreal based clients. As Human Resources Manager your major responsibilities will be to plan, direct, and coordinate Human Resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of the Human Resource department. The selected candidate is responsible for all activities of the Human Resources department including recruitment, policies & procedures, employee files, performance review management. It is essential that the selected candidate maintain professional contact with all employees.

Some of your main tasks are as follows:

  • Direct all activities of Human Resources for the company while assuring that all policies and procedures of the company are respected
  • Coach, assess, train and set stretch targets for all management personnel in regards to employee performance review
  • Develop and manage the HR budget
  • Develop and implement all Human Resources policies and procedures including updating employee handbook
  • Manage the process of annual evaluations for all employees, as well as salary increases, per direction from management
  • Conform to government regulations by completing all necessary surveys
  • Adhere and reinforce policies and procedures concerning Health and Safety
  • Contribute to the efforts of the executive leadership team to ensure success in all areas
  • Manage all recruitment activities including; sourcing, interviewing, reference verification, onboarding and employee retention
  • Work with site teams to assess current talent plan,Manage all disciplinary activity with relevant stakeholders; inclusive of employee termination meetings

Required Skill Set

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Fluently bilingual
  • Comfortable working in a small company
  • Capability of initiating and managing change
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • A self-starter; initiates process improvements as driven by the needs of the business
  • Ability to function under pressure in an entrepreneurial organization
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Perform responsibilities within determined time frames and with a high degree of accuracy
  • High personal integrity; must maintain confidentiality of company information

Education / Experience

  • BAC in Human Resources or related field
  • Seven plus years' experience in a Human Resources Managerial role
  • Knowledge of local and federal labor regulations
  • Proficient computer skills - MS office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
