Position Profile

Within the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Team (QACI) of Mirabel, you will participate as a specialist in continuous improvement, development and support of departmental initiatives. As part of this position, you will need to provide leadership, change management and coordination of improvement projects from different groups. You will be responsible for the life cycle of improvement projects and will be exposed to the "Six Sigma" approach (DMAIC). In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating CMMI certification efforts. The Continuous Improvement Specialist must have the ability to interact with different levels of management and employees to define, execute and control continuous improvement projects.

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will need to demonstrate and good communication skills with the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement team to better understand the challenges they will face on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for:

p> Project Management:

  • Coordinate support, training, verification, validation and qualification activities related to continuous improvement.
  • Verify data integrity in SDF Viewer, including milestones, lessons learned, risks, issues, project status, metrics (including scan verification), and accounts minutes of meetings.
  • Work on estimating Costs, develop timelines and plan initiatives.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement processes (including CMMI's high maturity processes).
  • Lead and / or facilitate meetings.

Processes and metrics:

  • Understand and apply ISO 9001 and CMMI models.
  • Support the implementation of best practices.
  • Lead Kaizens and other continuous improvement tasks as needed.
  • Contribute to creation, updates, monitoring and analysis of control charts and measurements to support project managers and management team.
  • If necessary, update the program and Metrics catalog.

Requirements

  • University degree (technical or business field) or equivalent experience in continuous improvement and project management.
  • At least five years of professional experience on project management, continuous improvement, management, industrial engineering or engineering.
  • Relevant experience in Kaizen work session and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience in "Six" Sigma "and" Lean ".
  • Pragmatic approach to achieve excellence, flexibility, adaptability and good reactions, even under pressure.
  • Ability to work at different organizational levels and support management teams.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze measurement data and statistics.
  • Business sense; ability to strike the right balance between customer needs and strategic objectives of the company.

  • Bilingualism (French and English).
