This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources (Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and Employee Relations), the Senior Advisor, HRBP, acts as a strategic partner for business lines on strategic talent needs and delivery of HR plans and initiatives while maximizing Employee Experience and supporting leaders. The Senior Advisor, HRBP, provides HR advice and counsel to SVPs and/or VPs in the areas of talent and HR strategy and helps to identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviours, structures and processes.As the Bank favours a "work from home" approach, the Senior Advisor, HRBP, will mainly work remotely.


º Advise business line leaders on all their HR activities.º Play an influential role in all HR strategic decisions, while ensuring a high level of quality and cooperation.º Diagnose complex situations and recommend proactive and practical solutions that encourage manager autonomy.º Analyze and recommend organizational changes in terms of HR management in relation to the strategic orientations of the sectors served.º Act as a strategic partner in identifying labour issues (attraction, skill development, retention and engagement).º Align the HR strategies with HR business objectives to add value to the internal partner, leading through issues which are complex and arise from broad internal or external issues.º Partner with the expertise centres and internal partners and work with them to develop proactive strategies to attract and retain the most talented people for key positions. º Identify, analyze and integrate various sources of information to track HR challenges, spot trends and recommend effective HR strategies to meet business needs.


Key Competencies:º Resourceful, proactive and capable of working in a fast-paced and sometimes complex professional environment; hands-on approach combined with big-picture thinkingº Strong ability to strategically influence and persuade senior leadersº Capacity to identify solutions through effective questioningº Ability to recognize trends and develop recommendations based on data analysisº Team player with good networking and interpersonal skillsº Knowledge of HR talent management best practicesEducation and Experience Requirements: º University degree in Human Resources or a related fieldº At least 7 to 10 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a related roleº Experience in employee relationsº Experience in management coachingº Bilingual (English/French) º Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Assets: º Experience in a federally regulated companyº Experience in the banking and/or financial sectorº Management experienceº CHRP designation
