Senior Advisor – Business Strategy and Talent Development

NV-10As a senior business strategy advisor, you help develop plans and business intelligence; monitor business plans and performance; set targets; identify opportunities to improve service delivery; and design and deliver business strategies and solutions aligned with the business architecture of various initiatives, including the organizational transformation and shift. You lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for decision-making bodies.

More specifically, this position is part of the Talent Development Administrative Department, which has 125 employees. The department has four primary responsibilities: design, distribution, subject-specific expertise and an advisory role. 

You will be working with the manager, a senior advisor, integration and two section managers who manage approximately 35 designers. You will also have to work closely with the administrative department’s senior advisor on strategic files that affect your division and support the senior advisor when needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
  • Master degree in a field related to talent development (andragogy, teaching, etc.) (an asset)
  • Experience with mandates requiring a cross-sector view of initiatives
