The HR Operations Lead will drive operational excellence within the HR function.  The HR Operations Lead will ensure the smooth operation of our HR systems and payroll, will use technology and process improvement as solutions for problems faced by the HR team and will oversee services valued by employees.  This position will provide leadership and day-to-day direction to a team of six including HRIS analysts, payroll specialists and HR coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR Operations team effectively enabling them to deliver accurate payroll processing, high quality data on employee and job architecture and timely customer service to our employees
  • Responsible for data governance to ensure the highest degree of data quality and integrity in our HR system
  • Interact proactively and regularly with our HR Business Partners to develop understanding of how HR technology can address the evolving needs of our client groups                    
  • Establish and document SOP’s for HR Operations
  • Responsible for the execution of our new hire orientation process
  • Responsible for providing key metrics and adhoc report requests
  • Acting as the key liaison with our HR technology provider, staying abreast of upcoming changes, testing new releases and ensuring optimal service delivery
  • Responsible to ensure employee queries on resolved in a timely manner
  • Responsible for efficient management of employee services such as the gym and subsidized cafeteria among others
  • Provide training to HR staff and employees on various processes and HR technology

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience in HR systems including experience in implementation as well as maintenance of HR systems 
  • Experience in or oversight of payroll function
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong understanding of HR processes.
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem solving
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence change and process improvements
  • Bilingual
