Summary of the feature:

Under the authority of the Vice-Rector, Human Resources, the Director of the Labor Relations Department provides senior management and management with a support and relationship consulting service. of work and remuneration.

The Director of the Labor Relations Department is responsible for: • Ensuring legal oversight of labor relations and compensation • Participating in the development of labor relations policies, directives and procedures work and pay and ensure their implementation • Coordinate the negotiation and drafting of collective agreements and working conditions protocols • Coordinate the work of the labor relations committees • Analyze, process and advocate on occasion the grievances submitted to him / her and act as a representative of the University • Negotiate and draft letters of agreement between the University and unions and associations • Advise and assist managers in the application of collective agreements and working conditions protocols • Maintaining a harmonious labor relations climate • R draft or analyze legal opinions • Lead the implementation of pay equity legislation and management processes • Lead the implementation of job evaluation and review processes • Participate in the work of the Commission various committees, working groups or focus groups on labor relations and compensation, both internally and at the university network level in Quebec • Manage human and financial resources under its responsibility • Act as University Relations Critic for Labor Relations • Assume any other duties that may be assigned by the Vice-Rector, Human Resources.

Requirements: Education: Undergraduate degree in law; a graduate degree in an appropriate discipline will be considered an asset. Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience Other: To be a member of the Quebec Bar; Knowledge of the legal framework, processes and practices in the area of ​​labor relations; Knowledge of compensation processes and practices will be considered an asset; Knowledge of the university environment and its structures will be considered an asset.

Treatment: Group - Class 2 - from $ 92,603 ​​to $ 140,217 / year
