Our client is the North American leader in the distribution of automotive and industrial paintings. It is present in all Canadian provinces, the United States and the United Kingdom . At its headquarters of Boucherville , the Payroll team, composed of 4 employees, manages the payroll of some 1400 Canadian-based employees , of which a part is unionized. The Payroll Tool used is Ultimate Software (UKG) but the company is in the process of implementing the Workday solution.

The extension is currently 100% teleworking and once the health instructions lifted It can be carried out in hybrid mode or mainly in teleworking.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute activities related to Canadian payroll productions within the required time, in accordance with the rule and tax policies and procedures
  • prepare transaction import files for time and collective insurance
  • to be able to do vacation calculations Departures, and retroactive salary
  • Enter data for food pensions and seizures-stops
  • Do the reconciliation of payroll registers and resolve gaps by collaborating with the Finance Department as needed
  • swing and prepare payments to different suppliers
  • Produce the various monthly reports
  • Reply to different requests from internal and external customers
  • Participate in the end-of-year activities for payroll and ensure the compliance of the process and compliance with the time
  • participate in the integration, tests and implementation of improvements, the interface and tax updates of the payroll system
  • participate in various projects as needed.

Skills sought:

  • Collegial degree in administration or accounting, or equivalent training
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position
  • experience with major payroll software, knowledge of Ultipro and / or Workday (an asset)
  • Experience with the pay for the various provinces of Canada (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of payroll rules and the treatment of collective agreements
  • member of the ACP (an asset)
  • Mastery of French and English as well as in writing
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software, especially, excel
